City of Novoli – Province of Florence
The site, chosen from Fiat to dislocate from 1935 its production activities in the aeronautics and automobile before then, subject to divestment in the mid-80s, is then identified as a strategic point for the relocation of some city functions with the aim of creating a new center in the historic center and outlying areas, including cities and territories consolidated margin.
After the workshops of the 80 and the Plan guide Leon Krier (1993-94), Gabetti & Isola develop the recovery plan of the whole area. The lights are designed to recreate the colors of the roof terraces from pre-oxidized copper roofs green.
The public park, the total area of about twelve hectares is the central element of quality and mending for the whole urban area; a fragment of the Tuscan countryside to live, structured around some “figures” that enrich the language and structure.
